It is a centralized controller for PA firewalls.

How to add devices in Panorama?

Go to Panorama --> Managed Device --> Here you will get a list of devices added in Panorama.

To add a device, you need to provide device's seral number & also the device must be told about Panorama's ip address which can be device setup --> Panorama

Initially Panorama will have 4 tabs i.e. Dashboard, ACC, Monitor & Panorama.

After adding template and assigning Firewall to it the two more tabs i.e. Network & Devices added to it.

So, template is to push configuration to device i.e. say "Template 1" has syslog server as 192.168.168.10 & "Template 2" can have syslog server as 192.168.168.11.

So, from Panorama tab you can create template and now you can add devices in template.

Basically, template acts as a group and you can put device configuration on it. It also has a network tab which contains information.

Commit in Panorama

Device Group will have Policies & Objects.

Device Group will usually be a group of devices for particular locations.

And Policy can be created in Panorama and while committing it will ask where to push this policy and you can choose your desire device group.
